field trip ideas

Hi! I'll be starting tomorrow with 2 girls in CTC and a 4 year old boy in LHTH. I'd like to occasionally use Fridays as field trip days, nut would really like if it could somewhat correspond to what we're learning in one or the other books. Any ideas?

Most of the field trips we take correlate more to my younger son's guide (Beyond) than to CTC. Ancient history museums are about all I can think of. You may tie into the Science better, but still not sure where you could go - the Zoo maybe? Right now, ds is studying some of the animals in Zoology. I know they do the human body later too (maybe a trip to tour a hospital type lab?). We are going to a pioneer type museum and making Lye soap in Monday...but again, that is more early American History than Ancient History. Hope others have some better ideas. What state are you in? That may help too...
