This is what it's all about!

I hope no one minds that I put this on here, but I just had to share this. I was in tears after I read this, because I know this is how I want to live out my faith (I fail so often), and I believe it would be in agreement to what HOD wants to instill into the hearts of our children (and us).
I began reading a book that is a verse-by-verse study of Romans. I am only on chapter three in the book which is entitled 'The Great Difference', which covers Romans 1:16-17, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." The author (more than 40 years in ministry) states, "Until you understand that the faith life is the fulfillment of the law and love of God, and that it can be yours, you are missing out on what life is really all about."
At the end of the chapter, the author shared this, which really put into words the testimony I know the Lord desires from my life. I just felt compelled to share it. I am quoting what the author said. It's lengthy, but I hope it will bless and encourage whoever reads it.
"A young man who was martyred for the cause of Christ wrote these words which were found in his cell in Africa: 'I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast, and I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made and I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight-walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, chintzy giving and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits or popularity, because I now live by His presence, learning by faith, loving by patience, lifting by prayer and laboring by power. My pace is set; my gait is fast. My goal is Heaven; my road is narrow. My way is rough; sometimes the companions may be few. But my guide and my mission are clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity or meander in the maze of mediocrity, for I am a soldier of Jesus Christ. I must go until Heaven calls, give until I drop, preach all I know and work until He comes. And when He comes to take His own, you'll have no problem recognizing me because my colors will be clear. I am a soldier of Jesus Christ.' "
