LHTH?

I'm currently doing BLHFHG with my ds7, and LHFHG with my dd 4.75, I also have a dd 2.5, and a ds 10 months old. I was wondering when is the best time to do LHTH? I was thinking I could do it6 next year when dd2 is 3.5, and stretch it out for 2 years. dd2's birthday is in January, so I will start her in K when she is 5.5. Also if my ds2 joins her for the second year would it be weird for him to do the second half then the first half, or should I just wait to start him until she is done? His birthday is in November, so he could start K when he was almost 6 if I want.

I would say no rush on Kindergarten personally. My son started K at 6 years old, and everything has been a real breeze for him to learn. I am so glad I started both of my sons one year later than they could have. I believe it helped them tremendously. Just my two cents!

I'm not in a rush for K with dd2 I was asking about the preschool program Little Hands to Heaven. I will not start her on K until she is 5.5 as her birthday is at the end of January. I was mostly wondering if I should do LHTH for two years or one.

Hi there,
I'm doing now what you're questioning. My dd5 is doing LHFHG, my ds3.5 is doing LHTH and my dd20mths is getting in to everything. My plan for my ds is to do LHTH over 2 years and move on into LHFHG when he is 5.5 (Feb. b-day). As far as my dd20mths. (dec b-day) I plan to start LHTH from the beginning on her own when she's 3.7 over one half to two years. So far everything is working out smoothly, I do LHTH with my son about 2 - 3 days a week, and he is loving it, it's enough to make him feel he's 'doing school' like sissy, but not too much to make it feel like a chore. Hope that helps.
God Bless,
Jennifer

If you're referring to your DS joining in on LHTH, that's actually the funnest, sweetest program to join in. I would just mainly keep the focus on your dd when it comes to learning letters and numbers, and have ds join in on bible stories and activities (things you can pull off as a group)when he wants to be involved. And when it comes to his turn to really 'do school' he'll have some familiarity with it, along with something he can call his own and start from the beginning.
God Bless,
Jennifer

Yes that's what I meant of course this is quite a ways off as he is only 10 months old. I just like thinking ahead. Next school year dd2 will be 3.5 and ds2 will be nearly 2.
