LHFHG?

Post by twoxcell » Wed Aug 25, 2010 4:16 pm

How long does LHFHG generally take? I'm doing Beyond with my 7 year old ds, and I plan to start Little Hearts next week with my 4.75 year old dd. I was hoping to come up with a rough schedule this weekend.
ds 12 RevtoRev
dd 9 Preparing
dd 7 Beyond
ds 5 Little Hearts
dd due September 20th

I did LHFHG last year with my 1st grader and it took us about an hour. It was a great year! :)

We did LHFHG last year - on our long days (mainly with an art project) it was 1 1/2 hours and on shorter days it was 1 hour. :D

We are doing it now and it takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on how our day goes. If we have alot going on and need to get on with it, we just do a no nonsense kind of day. If it is going good and ds seems to be enjoying his day we will take off with it! It's fun! We are really enjoying it so far!

I'm just in my 3rd week of it, but usually we can finish in about an hour. I should add, we are not using any of the recommended reading/phonics programs or handwriting, we are doing different ones, so that may make our day a bit shorter. But I would say 1 hour to 1.5 hour to do everything. In fact for us, sometimes that time also includes our singing, prayer (which for HS time is pretty short).
