Our first few days with Bigger

Post by Kirsten » Mon Aug 23, 2010 9:47 pm

I have to say, I am really happy with Bigger. My favorite thing about it hands down is the guide. I love how well it is laid out, love that each day is on the 2page spread, all the info is right there, not a bunch of flipping around. Plus it's not so big that it is cumbersome. After 3 years of 2 other big bulky binders, this is wonderful!!!

My kids are in 2nd and 4th grade, with my 4th grdr doing his own math, Singapore 5A/B and R&S 3. He is doing Dithor, which we both are enjoying, and my 2nd grader is an emerging reader and loves her bible reader. I got her the R&S Bible stories, I love R&S too!

They are doing really well and we give our first year with HOD 2 thumbs up! :P Thanks so much!!

You're in for a great year, Kirsten! :D We have wonderful memories of Bigger. It was our start with HOD, too. And, I have to tell you that the HOD guides continue to be just as wonderful...which I found hard to believe until I've experienced it!

Enjoy!

Kirsten,

I'm so glad that you had a good start to your year with Bigger and that you are enjoying the guide! That blesses my heart beyond measure to hear! :D We pray you will enjoy your year with Bigger Hearts and DITHR and that both will draw your kiddos nearer to their Lord! :D I sincerely appreciated working on the character traits and the Hymns throughout Bigger along with American history. It was a growing year for both my son and for me. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Bigger Hearts gets 2 thumbs up here too! We did it with our first ds about 3 years ago, and we started it half-speed with our 7 yo after we finished Beyond last year. One week from now, we'll be full-speed Bigger Hearts - can't wait! :D It's just as fun to teach it again. I'm so glad you are off to a good start, and you have many wonderful days ahead of you! We'll have to share our Bigger Hearts journey together here. :D

In Christ,
Julie
