Hi everyone!! I mostly took a break from the message board for the summer, & now that I am back there are so many new "faces" (who I am really looking forward to getting to know) & so many things to catch up on! I have just loved reading about others' school days & new babies, etc... I wish I had time to comment on it all!!

We are so very excited to be starting school tomorrow (just a "run through"- we'll officially start on Wednesday)!! Hooray!!

I have been really praying about our schedule... & have come up with a schedule for the year that I am really excited about (it is very similar to a combination of what we do in the summer & what we did last year). I like to start off with a schedule & then work more in a "routine" as we get the hang of things. I posted our tentative schedule on our blog & was wondering if you kind ladies would pop over there & give me some feedback... for you know what it is like doing HOD!! Please kindly let me know if it looks completely off or crazy... or if you have any great ideas to add in!

I have to say that I came across your blog earlier in the summer, and have added it to my reader!!! I am thoroughly enjoying your encouragement and uplifting posts! Your children are so sweet and I'm thankful for your big heart for teaching them God's Word! -thank you!

I don't know that I'll be much help in critiquing your schedule. It's very well laid out in my opinion. I like that you've started your day out with your littlest ones. We started school about three weeks ago and we also do our LHTH and Tot School first thing. (My littlest two do a combined LHTH and Tot School.) It's been going SO WELL starting out with the youngest! They really "soak in" their "Mommy time" right away and seem to be more content through the day! Good thinking on that one!

My best advice right now, would be to just jump in and (as Julie has said), make notes through your day about how long things take, or maybe notes on what you'd do differently or maybe even things you'd switch around for next time. Having those notes will help a great deal when trying to decide if you like the "lay-out" of your schedule. Everyone's home's and homeschool's run a little differently. By doing this you'll have a list of what worked out well, and maybe some things that didn't. You can make adjustments to your schedule as needed, then. I think your schedule looks pretty good, and wish you the very best as you start your school day with your precious little ones!

It's so good to see you again! I think your schedule looks great - and very doable. I know for me, going through the effort of actually praying and deciding what to do when was the part that helped me the most. It moved into a routine pretty easily from here.

We're new to HOD this year, and since we only have one, I can't really comment on your schedule, other than to say it looks good!

I like your schedule. It looks kind of similar to mine (which is still a work in progress right now). I am doing tot school with just my 1 year old, with a random assortment of things, I would love to see the resource you talked about with sensory boxes. We like to get school done by 10 or 10:30 also (except the workbook pages and reading lesson which my oldest does during the other two kids' naps).

I like how you had it laid out, this inspires me to continue working on mine!

Nice to "meet" you! I checked out your blog and I was INSPIRED! We're reinstating "quiet time" that fell by the wayside while pregnant and too tired to enforce it We're estalishing Mommy time which each kiddo as well...I'm so excited! This is absolutely what I need to do right now, and your schedule is encouraging!
