I was going to wait until it actually happened, because I know things can sometimes change. But, it seems that this is going to really happen. Within a month, we are preparing to take in a newborn baby girl! This is to be temporary, but occasionally can become permanent. We are taking a child of a mother who is incarcerated. Our understanding is that the minimum is May 2012 and the maximum could be 2015.

Please pray for us as we make preparations physically and also mentally for caring for this baby. I haven't had to do nighttime feedings in 20 years! Pray that we could be a witness to the mother and that God's will would be done in this situation. We know this child may at some point leave our home, but we are excited to be able to have this experience and give our love to this dear child, for however long God wills.

Wow! What a wonderful opportunity to love this little one. I'll be praying for you while I'm up with my new little guy. He will arrive this week - either on his own, or when they'll induce me Thursday! We're SOO excited!
