Last Thursday we had friends visit from a couple hours northeast of us. She wanted to look at curriculum for her 6th grader and 4 yr old. I have some stuff in the basement and she was prepared to buy something 2nd hand from me, and I was all set to sell her some. But after I had received my order and looked at my books, I knew she would love HOD. So...I showed her my books and gave her a catalog to take home. She loved it and showed them to her husband. She will be doing LHTH with her son, and CTC with her daughter, so we will be doing two of the same programs. We hope to both start Sep 7th and keep each other accountable.

Julie, I also showed her your devotional and we're both going to do that and share by email to stay accountable.

I plan to share HOD with anyone who asks for advice on homeschooling or curriculum!

Thanks for doing this! Giving catalogs and taking time to personally show others your HOD things is a surefire way to encourage others to use HOD. It's just to hard to describe how neat it is without the "stuff"! I'm glad you will be doing my devotional with your friend as well, and I hope you enjoy it and that it draws you close to the Lord.

It just seemed so natural to share HOD with her. I will say, that I've not done that with any other curriculum, because there were so many things I wouldn't be thrilled about. HOD is just so different from anything else!

My friend emailed me today that she placed her order Thursday and it arrived yesterday. She was very surprised at that. Her kids are excited and don't want to wait until Sep 7th to start, and now her 9 yr old daughter has decided she wants to homeschool too. Hurrah for HOD!

She said the devotional looks really good too; we're both looking forward to starting that.
