My order arrived! (with a slight detour)

I am so thrilled with my HOD books! But I have a story to tell; one that shows God's faithfulness, and re-emphasizes my need to not panic or worry, but to trust the Lord and His plan.

I place my order Friday, Aug 6th and figured since the shipping option was priority mail, I should use our PO Box # and not street address as we pick our mail up at the PO. Monday morning I received a shipping notice from UPS that my order should arrive on Tuesday. My reaction was, okay, UPS will usually deliver to our PO, so no problem. Tuesday morning the UPS tracking information was updated to: PO Box, cannot deliver, looking for new address, then new delivery address found. So I figured they had looked us up in the phone book. Late morning, no package, but the tracking info was updated to: delivered, left at rear door. So I checked, we even checked all our neighbors. Now I was worrried, panicked, and frustrated; we were having a lot of storms and tons of rain, so I just knew the package was left at someone's back door and everything would be ruined.

I called HOD and left a message. My dh called UPS when he arrived home from work and to get the address the package was delivered to. It was about 4 blocks away (I have no idea how they got that address). As he was heading up to the house, a lady was coming down the sidewalk with a box and asked if she could help him. He said he was looking for a UPS package for Laurie Race. She said, "I have it right here and was just taking it to the PO". Ladies, that package was totally dry, the books were fine. Isn't our God amazing?!!!!! :D I had to confess my lack of trust to Him and thank Him for protecting my books.

And Mike from HOD called to make sure everything was okay. Talk about customer service. HOD is a great company!

I haven't been on the board much since early last week and can see I have much catching up to do.

Oh, what a relief that everything was okay!!!! :D God was surely watching over that situation!!

I'd have been so worried, too! HOD is a great company, not just a company, but a great family that stands behind their materials. I pray the Lord continues to bless them!

Congrats on your box day! Isn't it wonderful to get all those beautiful books in the mail? Blessings as you go enjoy those new books and prepare for a wonderful year with HOD!!! :D

In Christ,

Lisa

Ahhh...those books have more than one story to tell now. :) So glad everything worked out. Next time, I would use the street address, I think! LOL

Rebecca,
Yes, next time I will use the street address.

Lisa,
I agree, not only is HOD a great company, but from what I've seen, experienced, and read here, a great family. I too pray that the Lord will continue to bless them.
