Singapore, textbook? workbook?
Singapore, textbook? workbook?
For 1A and 1B, can I just get the workbook?

Re: Singapore, textbook? workbook?
Hi! I see that you are using LHFHG in the fall. LHFHG has great hands on daily lessons written in to teach math for the Earlybird Kindergarten Math, so that you would only need the workbooks. If your child has placed in 1A, you would need the textbooks and workbooks to follow the schedule in the appendix of LHFHG. A better option, in my opinion, is to buy the Beyond Little Hearts Guide, which has great hands on daily lessons written in for 1A/1B, in which case you would only need the workbooks. Carrie's Singapore math lessons in the HOD guides are super!

Agreeing 100% with Lourdes!
This is exactly what I'm doing with my daughter. We're finishing LHFHG this year, and using the hands-on activities with Singapore 1A & B for her. Since you need to EITHER use the textbook/workbook combo or the hands-on/workbook combo, I decided that I'd much rather put the $18 I'd spend on the textbooks towards the Beyond guide that I'll use the following year anyway.
Plus, we love the hands-on activities that Carrie has written! They're great!

First of all I still think you should do Earlybird with her
It's just plain fun, and more Kindergarten-ish
Second of all, you already have the Beyond guide, so you do not need the textbooks, just follow the math box in the Beyond guide for 1A.

Lora Beth, you beat me to it. I was going to say I already have the Beyond guide.
We did half an Earlybird book with her last year, it was left over from Michael that I never finished. So we finished it, it was probably the A book. So i could do the B book.
A friend's suggestion was to do 1A for kindy and 1B for 1st. (that was Mary)
Kara is already doing some math in a book we got at Riteaid
decisions, decisions...I should make them so I can order and start school at some point. But I'm must enjoying summer!

Re: Singapore, textbook? workbook?
But the thing about the Rite Aid book is that it's not the same style as Singapore... (I'm guessing based on the other books I've gotten for the girls) I would just go with doing 2A again and following the hands on that go with it.... In my opinion it's not NECESSARY but very IMPORTANT to get used to the way singapore does math with an EASY program for her and you....
