Planner to use with HOD?

This is my first year with HOD. I'll be doing Bigger with my two boys. I like to plan my school day using a planner, but am having trouble finding one that has enough room to record all of the subjects to use with two students.
Does anyone have any suggestions for planners that seem to work well with HOD?
Thanks,
Wendy M.

Hi Wendy. I have a planner, but really haven't been keeping up with it since I don't need to report dd's work this year. I bought it last school year before I decided to put dd in school. I can use it through December. It actually has 18 months in it. Two pages are given for a week, so you have a third of a page for each school day. It probably would be enough room to write in schedule for two. It also gives each month on two pages with blocks, so there is a little room to write in those. It is Mead brand and I'm thinking I probably got it at Staples, but not sure. If you haven't checked there, that is where I'd start.

Have you looked into creating your own?
www.donnayoung.org has a ton of printable planners and even one for use with 2 students. With HOD, I find that with the manual being so open and go and the subjects all laid out for you that I only have to really schedule those subjects not included or scheduled in the manual. I created a weekly schedule for my ds12 to use with Preparing b/c he wanted to be mostly independent in his work. We'll see how that goes!

I have also used the printable calendars/planners from donna young for various things and they do work well. This year I decided to try something I saw recommended here by another homeschool mom. A Family Homeschool Planner, The Well Planned Day, written by Rebecca Scarlata Keliher. I am actually just getting it put together with our schedule and all, so I can't tell you how it actually works out, but I'm looking forward to using it. There is enough space to write out a schedule for 4 different children, and it includes shopping lists, bible verses for each day, space to write in your menu plan, encouraging 'quotes', a place for important contact information, encouraging articles in each chapter, and more! My children will each have their own weekly calendar where they will write down all that they accomplish, but this planner will be for me....so I can easily keep track of assignments, etc. It may be worth a look for you....

I think I linked this correctly, but I posted my spreadsheet in a topic called: "Excited about my record keeping spreadsheet"

Hope it gives you some ideas. I really liked that "The Well Planned Day" planner, but didn't want to fork over the money right now. It's so pretty that it would make me want to write in it.

I got the Well-Planned Day too. I think I will mainly use it to record our hours (required for the state), co-op stuff, "extras" (music practice, home ec, Spanish, etc) rather than re-write everything from the TM. I will have 2 in Beyond and 2 in LHLH

Also love the well planned day here - especially the perforated shopping list, how pretty it is, the inspirational quotes and articles, and that it has a monthly calendar in addition to weekly lesson plans.
