Hi Everyone,

My name is Sheli and I am really happy to have found HOD and this forum. I have an amazing son who will be 9 on Saturday, and we will be starting BHFHG w/ extensions in a couple weeks. We have been blessed enough to have been homeschooling from the beginning, but I have only recently become aware of Carrie and HOD. Until this point, it had been a struggle trying to piece together bits and pieces of different curriculums that I tailored to fit as best I could, spending far too much time planning and what I felt was far too little time connecting the dots between our Bible study and the rest of what we were learning. I have been praying all summer about this, knowing that this year had to be different, because he is at a pivotal age. Then, I found an article online about Carried and HOD, and after that, it seemed like everything that I came across was HOD... and until that time, I had not even heard of it. I started paying close attention!

I have learned so much simply be pouring over this forum, going through the website, joining the yahoo group and going through the catalog. I cannot thank all of you enough for sharing the things that you do and for the time and energy that you spend here helping those of us that are new to the curriculum determine how to begin and walking us through anxious moments! I am incredibly excited to start the new year and I am looking forward to getting to know all of you here.

Again, thank you Carrie for your faith and your commitment for authoring such an amazing program that touches so many lives, and to the rest of you who help and guide us newbies as we begin this journey with you!

Blessings from KC,
Sheli

Sheli - it is so nice to "meet" you, and welcome to the HOD Board! :D I am glad the Lord has led you to HOD, and that you followed His lead. I too enjoy this forum, and the wonderful ladies I've gotten to know through it. I look forward to getting to know you as well. :D
