I think I will be switching

After reading some posts and seeing how things work here, I think I will be switching after we do MFW K and might switch for grade 1 but continue with the MFW phonics of grade 1 since I already bought those levels. I do like the missions emphasis of MFW but I can easily add the mission books to this and any other books that I like from that program. I read somewhere that the Bible is more integrated in everything here and that I what I want/like. Unless God shows me differently, that is my plan that I wanted to share with you all. :D

That is so great. :D I love how the bible is integrated in the Little Hearts program. We are really enjoying it for K this year.

Mamajulie,

Look forward to you joining us and HOD. I hope it proves to be what you are wanting. I am quite new and am only at the Little Hands To Heaven level, but am so impressed with the emphasis on the bible. My daughter asks almost daily to do the "bible activity". HOD really seems to have a knack for making the bible lessons the central focus, and having everything relate to it.

I'll be doing LHTH with both children this Fall...starting out slow since my son is going to be 2 next month. I also want to include my dd in this program even though she'll be doing MFW K...We'll first do the finger plays and Bible reading and then add in a little more next year and then do everything in the program once my son turns 4.

No problem...My name is spelled with an e but I like it spelled without the e just to be different.

MamaJuli,

Thanks for sharing what you're planning! I think as moms, it helps us to share what our curriculum plans are with like-minded people who can rejoice with us (and appreciate how difficult this decision-making and planning for the future can be)! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Hi Julie (love your name)! :o I agree with the Bible being just a part of pretty much everything in HOD's curriculums, in a very natural way. That is one of the many things I love about doing homeschool with HOD. I can tell you that this trend continues through all of the curriculums, and I can't wait to see how the Bible will be woven into the new guide Preparing that I'll be using next year. How I wish I could have gone through school like this! They already have a deeper faith and understanding of Scripture than I did in probably even high school - how sad is that!?! Anyway - so glad you are here, and looking forward to getting to know you more!
In Christ,
Julie
