Singapore Math 2nd grade

I am getting ready to place my order. DH requested that I try to trim it down from my original, everything I want, list ..... .....

We will be using Beyond for 1st & 2nd Grade. I already have the Beyond guide that I bought last year. I will be using Singapore Math 2 for DD #1; she is good with math. I realized this was the first grade you had to buy textbooks and workbooks. Do I NEED the Bigger guide for math too? I have considered doing without for now and buying it further on if I felt like she needed the extra hands on stuff.

Misty, I don't think that you need the textbook for Singapore 2A/2B. Although, you may want to purchase it if you don't use the TM for Bigger. Someone else may have a suggestion. I did use the Bigger guide for the hands on activities- it was really great! I know that doesn't exactly help you trim down any, sorry!

With the Beyond books; it lists the workbooks and textbooks....

If I can; I would buy the Bigger guide and not the textbooks; would that work?? I just don't want to get started with school and realize that I don't have the right math stuff! We used MUS last year so this will be a first with Singapore.

If you buy the Bigger guide you do NOT need the textbooks. Carrie has awesome plans in the Bigger manual for 2A and 2B.
