I have been here for a while and I have always had problems with searching the forum. The search engine almost always tells me the word I'm searching is too common. Arggh it's very frustrating! :x Is there something I'm doing wrong? I wanted to search for threads about Math today and I know math is a common word but how in the world am I supposed to find what I'm looking for?

Here's 2 thoughts -1.) use anacroymns - like TRL for The Reading Lesson, etc. and 2.) post what you're trying to find and those of us who have an idea of what's on here can probably find it then you can use those threads to find more information.

I usually just post what I'm looking for cause everyone is so helpful and, like you, my stuff always comes up as too common.

I'm not very computer savvy. When I'm looking for something, it's usually a thread I remember that was helpful and i have to remember something unique about it. Who wrote it, a phrase other than "phonics, math, singapore" or something like that because it will tell me they're too common. Not sure how to help you there. :?

Thanks for the advice ladies. I found the post I was looking for by scanning through the pages. I couldn't remember the title of the thread. It was "Waiting on Recommending Teaching Textbooks" :D So it didn't even have Math in the title anyway.
