Because of this:*A Child’s History of the World by Virgil M. Hillyer (Calvert Education
Services, 1997) Note: This text is available in several different versions, but
only the 1997 version matches with the page numbers in this guide and
includes the additional end chapters needed for this study.

I purposely made sure the version I bought was the 1997 version. The pages still do not match up. Thankfully, the chapters match up but it's a little bit of a pain to have to find the chapters instead of the page numbers.

Anyone know why they don't match up?

Hi there - Did you get the "1997 Calvert" version? I have the 1997 Calvert version from HOD, and it matched up perfectly. HOD always carries the books that match their guides, so that's a surefire way to be sure they match. However, at least you can figure it out by the chapters, as they are given in the plans as well as the page numbers and I would think they'd be the same - oh, and the key ideas should help too! :D

In Christ,
Julie

Yes, mine is the 1997 Calvert edition. Hardback. I don't know why they don't match up. How strange.

There's quite a few different versions of this book around as its been republished multiple times. Even Calvert has redone their own versions. There may be more than one 1997 version of CHOW. There's no way for us to know all of the versions of this book that may be available and make sure they match our guide. However, we do make sure to stock and carry at HOD the version that is written into our guides. It is time-consuming enough for us to stay on top of our own inventory, as we're at around 500 different titles now in our warehouse! Due to the fact that we know many versions of CHOW exist, we did made a special note of it in the Introduction. :D
