Happy 4th and thank you for HOD!

Post by countrymom » Sun Jul 04, 2010 9:56 am

I feel so blessed this 4th to have found HOD. Of course I could teach my children about the 4th without HOD, but we recently have gone through the end of LHFHG with the American history and are still working on the extra readings. As we talk about the holiday it means so much more to my oldest. He was talking about the flag a couple of days ago and how it was still standing at the end of the battle. I wish everyone a great holiday and hopefully Carrie will get a much needed break!

Countrymom,

I love those readings in LHFHG too, as they make my kiddos (and me) realize how blessed we are to live in "the home of the brave and the land of the free"! We also are reminded of the price of freedom and of all of those who have sacrificed for us to remain free.

Your post blessed my holiday! Thanks for sharing! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
