I just ordered my CtC guide and most of the books that I needed to complete it!!! I can hardly wait to see them!! I've been homeschooling for 10+ years now and I have to say that I haven't anticipated a school year like this for a long time. I can hardly wait to begin, and I'm hoping my children will enjoy it as much as I think they will.

South Dakota to western Minnesota....should be here pretty quickly I think.

Congratulations and Welcome!

Oh yay! I feel your excitement. We are intending to do LHFHG when my son is 5 next year and can I confess ... I have put the stuff I would need to buy in my shopping cart even though my husband won't allow me to order for quite a few months yet since this is not for use until next year? Let's just call it a practice run so that when I do need to place an order I know exactly what needs to go into the cart and how much it's going to cost.

Now comes the waiting for the box to arrive .. I hate that part

Congrats! What a fun year you have in store!!! My package made it from SD to Arkansas in a matter of 4 days I believe, from the time I made my order!! HOD has excellent service and they ship super fast! Being convention season, it might not be light speed fast, but it's still fast!

I just ordered last week and received my first order from HOD on Tuesday morning. I was so excited and when my boxes came, I was really impressed at the quality of books they sent. We are also very anxious to start CTC this fall! This proves to be a great, fun-filled year for both of us!

I ordered the Beyond guide and some of the materials on a Thursday night and I got it the day after Memorial Day! In Virginia! That's less than two business days!

Time has flown since dd and I had our first box day, getting out the LHFHG materials and checking off the packing list together. I'm glad somebody suggested doing it that way to build the excitement.

I'm right with you and placed my second order yesterday after doing the first part a month or so ago. My oldest graduates Sat. after being homeschooled from the start. We used many curriculums in our journey but this coming school year my 12 year old will be doing CTC and my 7 and 9 year old will be doing Beyond and like you I have not been this excited about homeschooling in a long time! I have a little guy with special needs and when he is ready, we will do Little Hands.

I wanted to jump in and share your excitement, too!! It won't be long before you get to look at all your goodies! HOD really has super-fast shipping. Guess what...I ordered all of our goodies for CTC last night, too. (And the things I'll need for Beyond as we go through the year.) I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL BOX DAY!! I'll have to try to get the kids to bed before dark early next week.

It is so exciting, isn't it?

My husband placed our first order last night, and I had to get out a map and explain to my ds6 why it would take a while for his books to make it Mississippi all the way from South Dakota!! My mom is getting married next week, or we would be starting school the very second our box arrives! I don't know if we will be able to hold off until after her wedding with how excited we all are!

Ooh, lucky you guys! I can't wait to order Preparing and Little Hearts. Gotta get our vacation paid off, and then I'm filling my basket! Have fun going through your box - wouldn't it be fun to live close to each other so we could look at each other's goodies? I know I'd love to get a peek at Beyond and CtC!!

Christina, and Gracie, and the others, I can "ditto" what so many of you are saying, too! We just placed our order on Sunday for CTC and DITHOR, and I already got the tracking/shipping confirmation number yesterday. I was just asking our daughter today how long she thinks it will take from South Dakota to Wisconsin. So, I know exactly how you all are feeling.

It will be exciting to have so many of us starting with CTC this year, too. We can share our experiences together. I feel the same way about being more excited about this new year than I have in a long time! I hope our daughter (who has lost her love of most things "school") will feel my excitement and regain her love of learning with HOD.
