I have my 14 and 12 yo do WWTB independently. I check their writing assignments when they are done. It works great!

My 10 yo needed me to help him with it, but he's quite a bit younger, and creative writing doesn't come naturally to him. I probably spent around 10 minutes with him on it, and then he finished it out on his own. Since your dd is older, I'd guess she'd need just a bit of your time at the start.

Ang,
If your daughter was able to complete the writing lessons within Preparing mainly on her own, then I would look for her to be able to do the same within Write with the Best. You'll just want to go over the checklist at the end with her to make sure she incorporated everything. On a sidenote, make sure she understands that for the first lesson in each writing new writing unit, she does not need to find
all of the nouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs. Just finding some is good enough.
Blessings,
Carrie
