A dear friend and neighbor was over the other night. She is fairly supportive of homeschooling, but still worries about the social aspects. She was sitting down to talk to Noah and asked him if he was glad school was done for the year and he said "NO". I know that shocked her. She said "really your not glad that it is done?". He said "No, I loved it". Her 2 kids were public schooled and she knows how each year they were so glad to be done. I think it really surprised her.

Then my dad was talking to Noah on the phone when I wasn't around and I guess Noah went on and on about his school year and how much he loved it. My Dad wasn't supportive of homeschooling at all at the beginning of the year, but he has come around. I still think he was very surprised at the excitement in Noah's voice as he talked about his year. He even said something to me about it later.

Wow! That's great! HOD is a great program, but it sounds like his teacher was pretty terrific too!

That is awesome! Did it surprise you any? I was just a little taken aback when my dc seemed so sad to be finishing. I knew they liked what we were doing, but I had no idea that they liked it that much. I was pleasantly surprised. Another wonderful testament to HOD!
