Thank You Carrie and Julie for a wonderful Conference

I just got back from a wonderful homeschool conference and I have to say thank you to Carrie and Julie for making that possible.
Three years ago when I went to my first conference, I left in tears totally overwhelmed by all the curriculum choices. Two years ago, I went there with a plan to start using HOD in the fall, but I still didn't know how it was going to go. Last year and this year I went knowing that I was going to have a great year using HOD. So I stopped by the HOD booth first thing and picked up the few things I still needed to complete my Bigger set and then happily had fun browsing all of the other booths. I got to shop for all the fun, little things like art supplies and games not worrying about choosing all the things I needed to make a complete curriculum. It was already done for me! :D I didn't have to take classes on different teaching methods and all the different educational philosophies. I got to take classes on fun things like nature study, organizing, time management, etc. What a difference! Thank you again Carrie and Julie so much for making my conference a fantastic one! :D :D :D

I agree. I went to the Cincinnati conference and because of HOD I spent my time going to parenting talks :) I also enjoyed plenty of time just to shop for the fun of it.

I agree! Cinci was the 1st conference that I could just buy all of my HOD stuff, and then spend my time checking out "fun" stuff and anything else I had questions about. The big questions (ie: main curriculum) had been decided, so I could focus on those few smaller areas that I wasn't sure about. Fun, fun, fun! And it is so great to meet Carrie and Julie, too!

I feel so blessed to have found this curriculum. As we are progressing through the guides (we'll be on Bigger and LHTH in the fall), I'm realizing the sheer amount of research and work Carrie has put into this curriculum, thus saving US the hours of research and work.

Be blessed, all!

We are very thankful for ladies such as yourselves. It is a pleasure to meet you and put your lovely faces with your names. :D Thanks for stopping by the booth, introducing yourselves, and supporting HOD. We enjoy meeting thousands of people each year, but meeting the ladies on the board is always a special treat as we feel we know and love you already. :D

In Christ,
Julie

Patty,

I am so glad that you had a great conference! We did too, as we thoroughly enjoyed meeting and seeing some families that we already knew and some that were new to us. We always pray for the Lord to bring those to HOD who will be blessed by it, and we know He does just that! :D

Conventions can be so overwhelming, and I am thrilled that using HOD helped you have a successful convention experience. We pray that your upcoming year may be blessed as well. :D

Thanks for sharing! :D You filled my cup today!

Blessings,
Carrie

Neat! I've been thinking about how great it would be if Heart of Dakota would come to Virginia to our homeschooling conference. I guess it's a long way to travel, but I think you have a great curriculum that people would find very compelling. A lot of my friends seem to be a bit Charlotte Mason, a bit classical, but they also had never heard of Heart of Dakota.

Anyway, I don't know if HEAV is one of the conferences you'd consider coming to, but I'm going to put on my conference evaluation that I want you to come! That way, maybe the door is open a crack if you think you *do* want to come!

Thanks, ladies! We are weighing whether to attend the HEAV convention this upcoming year. We keep our convention schedule to 6-8 conventions in order to have time to write our new book each year. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

I have felt the exact same way for the past 2 years at the Arlington Home school Conference. It is a pleasure to have Carrie and Julie there and to see them face to face.

Carrie, I have a question for you though. Have you ever thought about being a speaker? I would be the first in line to sign up for your lecture. :D

Praying for Julie and Carrie during this busy time. Thank you ladies for your hard work. It is a true blessing to my family. The Lord has used you in a mighty way.

Cindy

Cindy,

You are very gracious to ask! :D We do actually get requests to speak fairly often but have had to pass on that opportunity more often than we'd like, due to time constraints both in our book convention schedule and in our writing schedule. We are hoping to devote more time for speaking in the upcoming few years, so hopefully we can do more of that. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

I was fortunate enough to get to hear Carrie speak about DITHOR at the conference a couple of years ago in a vendor workshop. It totally sold me on DITHOR! I would love to get to hear her speak on more things in the future. I'll look forward to that! :D
