Both of my children are going to be 6th graders. I decided to go with Creation to Christ for a variety of reasons when I read that it could be used for older children as well. But, I noticed that in the teacher's manual, there are dictations only up to 5th grade.
Is it possible to send (by e-mail or hard copy) a copy of your suggestion for 6th grade dictation?

I am super-new to HOD, so hopefully others will confirm this, but the "levels" of dictation are not necessarily grade levels.

Re: dictation Creation to Christ for older children
GriffinFriday,
It is true that the dictation levels do not necessarily correspond to grade level. So, if your 6th grade child is new to studied dictation, then it would be wise to begin in Level 5 or below. Even for a good speller, dictation can be a new skill as kiddos must reproduce the entire passage (including all spelling, capitalization, and punctuation) correctly in order to move on to the next passage.
My own oldest son is a natural speller and rarely makes mistakes within his own written work, however he is on Level 6 of dictation as an 8th grader (doing 3 passages a week).
Blessings,
Carrie
