What do I do with all my stuff?

I am starting to feel a little guilty. I have been pouring over my guides this weekend and waiting patiently for the rest of my books (classic, girls, science and emerging readers) to come from South Dakota  . I love the choices of books Carrie has available, the completeness of the guide so I don't forget to do things, which I would (like spelling). What do I do with they shelves full of curricula I didn't use? I have tried to convince myself that I am learning how to teach my girls and it is trial and error. It's so hard to see the things that didn't work out. I have peace with HOD and my decision to use Beyond and LHTH in a couple of months, but I guess I just need to know someone else out there has a shelf full of missteps too.

Reading old posts has brought me such comfort in my decision. You ladies are truly the hands and feet of the Lord. Thank you. Can you tell I need a hug? :D

I would see if there are any hs families in your church or local hs group who may be blessed by it. When dh was in seminary(and we had little money), we were so blessed by people who just offered to give us items they were no longer using - and it was often an answer to prayer for us. Although we don't live there anymore, I recently listed some items on Facebook to my friends who are still there. They connected me to a family who is coming to seminary from Austrailia and is thrilled to have my "missteps". God does indeed use ALL things(even our mistakes!) for the good of those who love Him.

Blessings!

I agree with giving it away. This way I don't feel so bad that people are not buying from the publisher. I figure what didn't work for me, or what I'm done with could be a blessing to others. Plus I know the Lord could bless me for being a help to others. "for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Also this would probably help you feel better about it. It always blesses my heart to bless someone else. Also sending you a hug. :D It's okay you are learning. This upcoming year will be my 4th year to homeschool and I feel like things are really being narrowed down to what works and what doesn't for me. To be honest, it seems like my dc have always been fine with what I use, it's me that's either loved or hated something.

Yes, but that was two weeks ago -- before I changed my mind. I saw a HOD guide book in person there, and I couldn't believe how complete it was. It was a great suggestion, though. Thank you.
