Hello - I will be starting home schooling this fall (9/2010). My children have been attending a private, Christian school since my oldest started Kindergarten at this school. He will be finishing 5th grade in a few weeks and my youngest will be finishing kindergarten. Then I have a daughter finishing 3rd and a son finishing 1st. I am interested in the Bigger Hearts curriculum with the extension package. I haven't purchased anything yet, but was hoping to see if you thought this would be a good place for us to start. I want to teach them all the same thing as much as possible. I know that they will have different levels of math and reading/language arts. So, basically this fall I will have a 6th grader, 4th grader, 2nd grader and 1st grader.

Welcome! :D We're glad to have you here! I'll just move this post over to the Main Board where more moms will see it. All new posts begin on the Main Board. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Hello, and welcome to the HOD Board! :D We are doing Bigger Hearts for the second time through and loving it. However, all of the HOD programs are wonderful, so which guide(s) you choose can best be determined by using the placement chart. From there, we can talk through combining if that is your desire! So, if you could check out the placement chart (especially the first page of it), and share a bit about each of your dc and where they place, that will help us help you. :D Here's a link to the chart:

I think you'll love HOD! How exciting for you to be bringing home your kiddos. I think you'll find this board an oh-so-helpful place to be, and I think you'll find HOD an oh-so-wonderful way to teach. :D

In Christ,
Julie
