I know that each state has different requirements, so many of you may not have to do these.

In NH, I have to do either a portfolio/evaluation or a standardized test. We are choosing to do the portfolio/evaluation. Since this is the first year that we are accountable to the state, this is the first year I will need to put one together. So to get to my actual question, does anyone have ideas of how you put your HOD year into a portfolio? I have a basic idea of what to put in there, but want to make sure that I include enough.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

our requirements are the same here in florida.
i plan on doing some sort of portfolio. it will be our first evaluation for our son.we are finishing up the LHFHG guide.
i plan on taking our HOD guide books as "lesson plans", a list of books we have read and books my son has read. a list of activities we have done throughout the year like symphony, nature center, boy scouts, etc.
i will take samples of handwriting at beginning, middle , and end. and some samples of science things we have done.i will take his whole Math-U-See student book b/c it is just easier that way. it won't be real fancy. i have a mentor here who has 6 children and she showed me examples of what she did for her kids. You by all means, DO NOT have to take every single picture they drew or story they wrote, etc.
Perhaps let your child pick out a few things they really enjoyed doing so they can tell the evaluator about it.and a few you really liked (that might be the hard part)
the evaluator we are going to has asked us to bring a book he enjoyed reading to tell her about and i am not sure maybe even read from. It will be really laid back.
