Silly question about Placement?

My DS10 will be 11 in September. We have used Preparing Hearts this year which has been a good fit for him. Do we just automatically go to Creation to Christ? Just wondering as I am thinking ahead to our homeschool conference in May!

We have boys very close in age. My ds is 10 and will be 11 in May. We also have done Preparing this year. My understanding is that yes, if your son has done well with Preparing then he will be ready for CTC. I just bought all of the books and the manual and I can definitely see where things in Preparing have been leading up to the independence in CTC. I know for me the big challenge will be not expecting him to be totally independent at the beginning. This year he has grown into some of the activities and I think that will also be the case next year. CTC just looks so fantastic and also seems like it will challenge my son just the right amount.

Yes, it is my understanding is that Preparing is a one year overview of world history, which would naturally "prepare
" them for the 4 year history cycle that starts with CTC. You'll love CTC!

Yes - that's right!
Head on in to CTC - your ds will just fine. PHFHG did a wonderful job of preparing my ds for CTC, and I'm sure your ds will make the transition well too. Just give yourself (and him) a month to really get in the swing of it, to learn the boxes and what's expected, and then it's smoooooooooth sailing!
