I've been looking through an old edition of the book because I am considering using Preparing Hearts for His Glory next year. No book is perfect, and I understand that some things have been edited out of the newer version, but I want to know if the child is going to be reading straight through this book or will certain chapters be used? Some of the info at the start of the book concerns me.
Thanks,
Debbie

Re: w here...question re: Child's History of the World
As stated you don't read the first 3 chapters. Also it isn't read independently by the child. You will be reading to them. With this in mind Carrie gives you a warning about anything that might be graphic or violent and therefore you can omit it when reading if you want. My ds loves CHOW. It has really given him a good overall view of history and is presented in a way he can understand.
