Update, Wed. April 14
Thanks to all who are praying. I talked to our pastor's daughter-in-law this morning. She said he is not good. He is not eating much and did not get out of bed at all yesterday. He is in a lot of pain. Hospice is now stepping in. Our church is having a special prayer meeting this evening at 7:15. . We will be encircling his house. Anyone who can, please pray especially at that time. We may not have much longer with our pastor and it is a blessing to know that we will see him again.
I ask prayer for our adopted dd. She heard me talking about it to her sister this morning. She is asking me if Pastor is going to die. I've explained to her about his cancer and that we don't know when Jesus will take him to Heaven, but that it could be soon. She is attached to our pastor and gives him hugs a lot. She even calls him Grandpa sometimes. She was very concerned and said 'I don't want another pastor.' She also said that Pastor likes to get hugs from kids. She can't understand why she can't go see him. She knows Heaven is a wonderful place, but she will feel the loss terribly. She dealt with much loss from the day she was born and struggles with it to this day. Just having siblings go off to college was hard for her. Pray for our wisdom in dealing with her emotional needs. I'm anxious to see how HOD will strengthen her spiritually. Hearing the testimonies of many who are using HOD has gotten me even more excited about taking dd on that journey
God is in control!
