Combining Storytimes for Preparing and CTC

Post by sted » Mon Apr 12, 2010 9:31 pm

Question: If I'm doing Preparing and CTC, could I combine Storytime or Read-aloud books? My oldest hasn't taken Preparing so it wouldn't be a repeat and would cut down on my workload. Has anyone done this?

Thanks,
Shannon

Yes, you can easily do this. We do a combined storytime with our children, who are in CTC, Preparing and Bigger. I use the Bigger books (and guidebook) for the storytime and it is going well.

Yes, CTC allows to you choose either storytime books that go with the history, OR storytime books according to each genre (fantasy, historical fiction, etc.), so this would be super easy to combine!
