Did you do it as written?
How long does the lesson take?
Did you like it?
Why/why not?

I'm using Singapore 1A with the activities fom Beyond with my 5.5 yo ds,and we like it a lot. It generally takes 20 min for us to do the activity and the associated workbook pages. If it's becoming apparent that it's going to take much longer than that (which is rare, so far) we stop and he finishes the pages the next day. He likes it very much, as do I. :D

I think it depends on the child. My eldest struggled with math so lessons could have gone on forever. I usually stopped them if they exceeded 30 min. now my youngest is a wiz kid I think we have once spent 20 min on a lesson, 10 min is more typical for her, after we do the activity, I blink and the page is done.

so my guess is an average of about 15 min.

With DD1 we do it as written... it takes maybe 20 minutes to do....

With DD2 we'll be doing singapore 2A when she's in Beyond, so I'll either have to remember the activities DD1 does or make up my own....

I love singapore because it teaches math the way I think it and do it...

We are doing it as written right now for my oldest ds... it is going well! I'd say a lesson takes anywhere from 10-20 mins, probably closer to 10-15 mins. on most days. I really love Singapore and how it teaches kids to think mathematically. I'm finding the activities in the Beyond guide to be very helpful with presenting the concepts and making it a little more fun for my son. And I like how they're short and sweet and to the point. I'm planning on continuing to Singapore 2A/2B and using the activities in the Bigger guide next year. :)
