I came home today to my two USPS Priority boxes sitting on the porch!

As I started getting out all of my (er, I mean, my son's) stuff for the fall, I got so excited. It looks WONDERFUL!!! I have looked through all the books and I am so pleased with the layouts and the material. My kids are fascinated by the human body book (I admit, it was pretty darn cool!). Having the guide in my hands really helps me get my thoughts in order. The dictation is wonderful. We hadn't planned to use it, but after seeing it, we will definitely be using it!!! This is exactly what ds10 needs. I was so excited to see the CDs in there too...that really mixes things up and I think it will be such fun for my son.
I got my Beyond Manual too. I am excited about it, but I have owned one before, so I know it much better. I am still getting acquainted with my CTC manual. LOL
Thanks for letting me share my joy here. Now, can I please stop American History and hit the ancients??

It's so hard to wait to start the new books, isn't it? We are having to finish up some things before we start Bigger, and I'm having to be so patient! We did go ahead and start LHTH and LHFHG though, and we are really enjoying them. Have fun with CTC!

Rebecca,
Mine is here too! Yea! I actually got my two boxes on different days because they were routed through two different cities. Strange. Anyway, I have been pouring through the CtC book for my 10 yo ds. I have a big decision to make - do I start from the beginning and go as far as possible this summer, or start at week 20 to finish by Aug. The reason is that RtR lines up perfectly with what our homeschool group is doing this fall and so I really want to start that book at the beginning of Sept. We school year round so we could make it happen. We have covered the ancients, but not to the extent that Carrie has it written in CtC. Right now I'm thinking that we'll start around Greece and Rome and then next summer I'll go back and finish up weeks 1-20 of CtC. I know it may sound crazy, but there is a method to my madness.
I'm also really excited about doing Beyond with my 7 yo. It looks great - and the plans are so easy to follow.
Blessings,

HOORAY, Rebecca!

I'm so glad your books have arrived. You have a lot of fun learning ahead of you!!! Enjoy getting to know your new "friends"- we've come to love our CTC books that much this year, like near and dear friends - we are sad to say goodbye to any of them when we finish them, but then it is great fun to meet new ones too as we begin them.
In Christ,
Julie
P.S. Shawne - only you can know if it is that important to match up with your co-op studies, but I would love for you just to be able to enjoy CTC fully and go at a pace that you like best. You'll know what fits your goals the best though!

Either way, I'm glad you got your books and can enjoy delving into them.

Rebecca and Shawne,
I'm so glad to know that you have your books in hand and are getting a chance to go through them and ponder your upcoming school year!

I pray that the Lord will give you peace as you plan for the future. We hope you'll enjoy CTC as much as we are this year and that it may be a blessing to your families!
Blessings,
Carrie
