DITHR scheduling quesitons?

I am about to start DITHR with my son and I have a question about scheduling. If I do DITHR 3 days a week is my son still doing his scheduled reading on the other 2 days? For example if we do DITHR M, W, F is he still supposed to be reading on T, Th? I'm trying to wrap my mind around this and just can't seem to get it. We are very excited to get started.

Thanks,
Paige

He would only read on the days you are doing DITHR. So when it says read for 15 days that is 15 days you are actually doing the program. I hope that makes sense. In Preparing it is scheduled 3 days a week and so we will have finished 5 genres by the end of the year. We will do the other 4 next year.

Lynn did a great job of answering here already :D , so I'll just add that when you are on Day 1 of your DTHOR reading calendar (which is the page at the beginning of each unit in the DITHOR Student Book where you mark the pages students are reading), you should be on Day 1 of your plans in the DITHOR guide. When you are on Day 2 of your reading calendar, you are on Day 2 of the plans in your DITHOR guide, etc. The Reading Calendar's Day #, the DITHOR Student Book's Day #, and the DITHOR plans Day #, should always all match and be the same for the day.

The numbers of the DITHOR plans won't be the same as your core HOD guide (i.e. BHFHG, PHFHG), etc. So, while you're doing say Bigger Hearts Unit ? Day 3, you may be on DITHOR Day 8, etc. This allows you to start DITHOR whenever you want and move at whatever pace you want. I hope I didn't just make this more confusing - HTH! :D In short, when you are doing DITHOR 3 days a week, there are 2 days a week you do nothing with DITHOR.

Julie
