Hi all,

I ordered the PHFHG manual so that I could look it over and have decided to use this curriculum starting in July! I am so excited, I have tried other unit studies only to quit after a while, this one seems so different and just what I have been looking for. We will also be using DITHOR.

I will have 3 children in this program, one is special needs that will do with us what she can. The other two will be doing the independent study section, do I need 2 copies of everything for that so that they can work at the same time or let them rotate using the materials? I don't want our day dragged out too long, one is a slower worker than the other one.

also, if all 3 are doing Draw and Write through History, do I need a book for each child or just make copies?

Looking forward to getting to know all of you, :D
Blessings

hi dena!
i am using phfhg with one child this year and it has been a tremendous blessing. i know there has been a topic recently about using one guide with multiple children and what you would need to have in multiples. hopefully one of the ladies will post that link for you. remember thinking how smart all of the ideas were on this topic. i i feel the draw and write through history could be shared without even making copies. you could set it up as stations with the other independent work where books would be shared. for example,
1) draw and write through history
2) independent science
3) grammar work

they could rotate through these three stations with 20 minutes at each. this is the only way i could make sense of the multiple kids in one guide running smoothly. i know the ones who do this will have much better insight than one who is just schooling one. i just know you will be so happy with hod.
