Another Reason to LOVE HOD!

DD8 had a friend stay over last night since my "big" boys are with grandparents. We went to the movies and Barnes & Noble, played some Wii, and did SCHOOL. LOL. YES! We did school with our friend here b/c it's fun! We did a day 5, which has notebooking, timeline, and such...we made bird nests out of chocolate chips and peanut butter chips with some corn flakes after reading more of John Audubon. DD is learning so much and what a great thing that it's so enjoyable that we could use it for fun with a friend! (Who also is home schooled and might be pressing her mom for HOD for next year! LOL) Did I mention that *I* am learning so much that I am telling DH all the new facts and people I'm learning about almost every night?
I also find the John Audubon book fascinating! My children do as well

How fun! I am chopping at the bit to start Bigger with my dd, but we need to finish up a couple of things first.
I actually already read the John Audubon book just for fun, and I can't wait to read it to dd. I know she's going to really enjoy it. I'm looking forward to making edible bird nests too! I need to pick up a bag of robin's eggs next time I'm in the store, since the Easter candy is available right now. I figured they would be PERFECT in an edible nest!

Tamara,
I loved that activity too! My kiddos still remember it!

The John Audubon book was a huge favorite here too. My boys still love drawing birds, and my second little guy was thrilled to get back to the bird drawings this year in CTC with the Birds of the Air book.
Blessings,
Carrie
