It looks fantastic! As I try and plan for the possibility of my 10th grade DD coming home next year I am appreciating HOD more and more. I love the way everything is laid out and connects.

Here's my thoughts so far: I actually cried when I looked at the book package. I really am not a crier, but I am thrilled and almost overwhelmed with the book selections. Yes, I can go a homeschool convention and pick up some of the same books, but the thrilling part of using HOD is that Carrie has studied and searched and chosen the best parts and put it all together for us and our children. In fact I look at all those books and wonder how we're going to get that all done next year, but there's another blessing of the guide! Then it's all put together in a way that becomes a routine that we don't get tired of doing. Instead we can’t wait for the next week of school! So, 3 cheers for Tansy's dh in making this all a pretty picture for us to drool and dream over and 300 cheers for Carrie for making this all possible - again!

The first thing on my mind this morning when I woke up was that the page should be up today!! Carrie seemed to be dropping a big hint about that on yesterday.
It looks
wonderful.
Julie, I feel kind of emotional myself. This morning at church, our pastor preached on something that we had covered in Preparing this past week. This is the third week in a row that that has happened! I mean, the exact same passages that we had read as part of our Storytime with Preparing! My son just beamed! It occurred to me that my boys are growing up so fast. I am so thankful for this curriculum that puts the Lord Jesus right in the middle of everything that we do for school. We have so few months and years with them, to nurture them in our faith, and cultivate that faith in their hearts. I want every day to count and I feel like since we've come to HOD, every day has counted. I recently heard a home-schooling Christian mother say that she didn't want the Bible and her "religion" to be constantly in her children's faces. She didn't want a curriculum that placed "so much" emphasis on the Bible! I could almost remember thinking like that myself!! I'm so touched that the Lord stirred us to come into conformity to His Will for our children; that they be thoroughly immersed in Him and His Word. I'm looking so forward to CtC and RtR!! I am excited about what the Lord is doing in our family through this amazing curriculum.
Blessings!!

So, why don't I start with the first question on RTR... What if you have 2 students in RTR. What do you need doubles of - really? I know notebook pages for sure, but what about the Shakespeare book and the Medieval History Writing and Bible Study book?

Yummy, good stuff! I am drooling over these resources and am excited to learn right along with my ds when we get there. My decision to homeschool is reaffirmed every time I look at one of these programs. I wish every homeschool mom would use HOD! I can't imagine a better curriculum choice. Thanks to everyone at HOD who work so hard to make our homeschools effective and easy.

Oh, Ladies! I am SO excited that YOU are excited about RTR!

We are thoroughly enjoying going through it with our oldest son and pray that it may be a blessing to your families too. We pray continually that the Lord may be glorified through our products as that is why we do what we do.

I could hardly wait for all of you to have the first glimpse at the new products. It is a joy to share them with you.
As far as the questions go, for more than one kiddo using the Economy Package, I'd lean toward having a copy of the Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons Student Book for each child, although you can photocopy it if desired. You'll for sure need a copy of the Philippians study for each child, and if you choose to do the Shakespeare option, you'll need a Shakespeare Notebook for each child. Depending on whether you have girls or boys, you may also want an additional copy of The Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood, if you plan to have your child write within the book. The Map Trek 2 pages are printable off the CD for family use, so you'll only need one of those. That should do it!
Blessings,
Carrie

I finally just got the science option. It makes complete sense now that I know what is group one and group but I could not figure out that Astronomy and ACG are in both packs. It looks awesome! Lots of science. I am happy! Can't wait to use it and buy it! Mostly buy it though because I want to look at it while we are loving the HOD we are using now.

Is that a good excuse for buying early? Hahaha!

Absolutely!! Permission granted...(I suppose you could check with your husband, too

).
These packages look incredible! Makes me want to do CTC & RTR both next year. Ok, not really, there's no way we could take all that in. We will most definitely continue to enjoy this HOD journey! Wow!
Praise the Lord for His direction in all your hard work, Carrie!
