Quick update

If you remember I had been thinking about whether my daughter needed the extensions with Preparing, since she has such a high reading level (12.9). Well, I experimented with this because one of the books was available at our local library...and it was just too much to ask, lol. She is a gifted reader, but her other skills are right at age level, and her math at early grade 3. Also, she is not that mature yet-maybe it has to do with her being the "baby" of the family. Just using the guide as written, along with some extra math, is all she can handle for a day without getting frustrated, and that's fine by me.
Anyway, as for her reading, she just gets to read whatever sparks her interest on her free time :)

Thanks for the update! Sounds good, this way she won't be burning out so to speak. Just because she can read at 12 lvl doesn't mean she will enjoy the books.

Lourdes - Sounds like she's off and running! :D I'm glad you figured out what works well for her, and it was nice to get an update from you. I have been hoping your year is off to a good start - you deserve it. Here's to many more happy days ahead!

In Christ,
Julie
