i haven't noticed any mistakes in the guide so i assume carrie has a good reason for starting this book on page 10. i just want to double check as it is driving me crazy to not begin on the first page. can anyone please confirm this? thank you so much!!!

Just a guess here, but usually when this occurs, it is due to a print edition of the book difference. Maybe you have a different edition?
I'm sure others will be more helpful....

thanks kelly!
i just looked closer and there is a sticker in the preparing manual on unit 14 day 3 updating the reading for the book but even there it says to start on p. 8. in my 2004 edition chapter 1 starts on p. 1. does anyone remember this as an intentional starting place? maybe i missed an earlier scheduled reading.
thanks!

In the new edition of the book Chapter 1 starts on page 8 so no you don't skip any of it. Hope that helps.

Kelli,
If you look ahead a couple of days, I'm pretty sure you're told what chapter to read rather than page numbers. So, it'll only be confusing for the 1st couple of days when you read a partial chapter.

I have the edition that has Chapter 1 starting on page 10. So you should be good to go beginning on chapter 1
