Just an introduction

Well, I've posted a few times and haven't really introduced myself. I'm Beth, from Alabama. I have 3 boys, Garrett (11-Feb 13th), Colby (7), and Gavin (2), and a wonderful, patient husband, Doug. This is our 5th year homeschooling, and we wouldn't have it any other way. This is our first year using HOD. It is the best thing that could have happened to our family. We LOVE IT!! It has taken a while to get used to teaching/learning this way. We were very much public school minded but at home, if that makes sense. I'm still working on that, too. HOD is a breath of fresh air. I am learning so much and so are my children. I love that our whole day is Christ-centered. We are using PHFHG, DITHOR, LHFHG, LHTH. I also have most of Beyond, just because I love to look at the guides and study what we will be doing next. I have to make myself not buy them before I need them.

Anyway, I look at the board almost everyday. I find this group of ladies so encouraging and helpful. I also enjoy all the ideas and pictures of how others do things. Thanks to all of you who take time to post. Thank you Carrie for giving me a fresh perspective on homeschooling. This is the way I should have been doing it all along. Thank you for putting Christ first! That is why God used a sweet friend to lead me to your curriculum. Our family is blessed by using HOD!

Beth I just wanted to say welcome and I love your login! They are always good and perfect gifts are the not. Our Heavenly Father always knows what is best for us even before we know it ourselves. I am so glad you are loving HOD. Isn't it wonderful to know it is all done for you and you can just sit back and really enjoy your children and learning with them. What a blessing!

I too have three sons and this has been our first year with HOD as well. Just like you I had been homeschooling for awhile before we found the wonderful curriculum Carrie has written. We are so glad you are here. This group of ladies are amazingly encouraging. I am still in shock that I have had conversations on the board with Julie and Carrie. The fact that we have such access to them is a great blessing. We look forward to more of your posts and thank you for a glimpse into your sweet family .

Welcome to the board, Beth! We share the same first name. So glad you're enjoying HOD - it's our first year with HOD, too. It's amazing to me how God brings each of us to this curriculum that honors HIM and is perfect for teaching our children about HIM! (Thanks again, Carrie!)

I'm so glad that you got a chance to post an introduction! We love getting to know one another better on the board. I'm happy that you're getting a chance to use and enjoy HOD, but even happier that you have a peace that the Lord brought you to HOD. It is our constant prayer that the Lord will bring those to HOD who will be blessed by it. So, you're an answer to our prayer.

The ladies on the board are so gracious with their time and very good at encouraging one another. We're so glad you're enjoying the fellowship here.
