Midwest Homeschoolers Convention

Post by Magistra » Thu Jan 07, 2010 6:16 am

Dear Carrie,

I was thrilled today to see on the list of exhibitors that you (or a representative) will be attending the conference in Cincinnati in April. Will you be bringing curriculum to buy or only order? It will be so helpful to actually look through the guides to see what the best fit for my girls would be. Thank you so much for being williing to make the trek. I'm looking forward to seeing you.

I'm planning to go, too! I was so excited when I saw HOD on the list! I agree... it will be nice to see the curriculum in more detail. And Carrie, it would be great to meet you and your family/staff! You are such a blessing to so many families. I just love how TRULY Christ-centered the curriculum is and how it flows together. You've brought joy to this mom... and my kids, too! My dd says she loves school, except for math! ha! And that's just because it takes work to do math! :?

Have a blessed day!

HOD brings curriculum to display and also to buy. If we sell out of any item(s), we ship them for free. Carrie's husband and sons have super fast shipping, so you should receive the items quite quickly if they did have to be shipped. Book conventions are an excellent way to look through all of HOD's line of curriculum. I think it's fun to see not only the guide you are doing but to peruse the guides to come too! :D Hope to see you there! :)

Count me as another person who was very excited when I saw HOD on the list. I can't wait to look first hand at the CTC books we will use next year. I am also excited that now more people in this area will know what HOD is. Everyone just gives me a blank stare when I tell them what curriculum I use.

Magistra,

We are very excited to be in Cincinnati this year! We'll look forward to meeing you. :D

At convention we will have a display copy of every book within our catalog. So, you'll be able to get your hands on everything you'd like to see. We do carry quite a bit of our product line with us for sale as well, but if we run out we do ship products ordered at convention to you for free. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

I'm yet another one who will be there excited to look through next year's guides for my son, buying next year's curriculum and looking forward to meeting you, too! :)

I agree with another post above, more in the Midwest need to know about HOD!!! I'm always telling everyone I know this curriculum is such a blessing not only to my kids - but to me as well!

I'm also hoping to eventually have here in Virginia at the HEAV conference. I've recommended HOD to anyone who I can. But, it sure would be great for more people here to see it in person as well! :)

Ladies,

We had planned on considering both the FPEA and the HEAV conventions this year, but in all honesty with the very early deadline of the FPEA convention (which we were unaware of, having never applied to it before), by the time we finished CTC and sat down to apply for new conventions, we found we'd missed the FPEA deadline. This worked out alright, as it's the same weekend as NC (and we were unsure whether to go to NC or FLA). So, this made our decision easier. I know it doesn't work out great for those of you who would love for us to be in Florida, though. We'll reconsider again next year. :D

As far as the HEAV goes, we had a conflict with the dates of that convention for this year, so we will look again next year. :D

We attend a limited number of conventions each year in order to be home to homeschool our own kiddos and to have time to write and publish a new guide each year. Even though this means we have to sometimes say, "No" to good things, we lean on the Lord and trust Him for His best for our lives. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
