Well, I am coming off my medication and the dr said it could be rough. "It's one of the harder anti-depressents to come off of." yeah!
I took my first reduced dose last night and so far so good. I will take this one for 3 days, reduce again for 4 days, and the final reduction for 4 days. Then it's nothing. So, it could be a rough 3 weeks.
Thanks for your prayers and I will keep you posted as much as possible.
K
PS~Also, dh is stressing about finances and this is affecting (?effecting?) all of us but especially me. This is separate from the meds.

Kerby I answered you on the other board. Be careful and take good care of yourself. On the finances, it is tough but God wants you to hand that over to Him. So for the next four weeks do what you have to and take your mind off it.
Praying for you!

I just prayed for you, Kerby! Please keep checking in with us here and let us know how it's going and what we can keep praying for you about! The Lord has a plan for you and your family, and it is a good one. He is faithful, and I know you can make it through this! Be sure to be kind to yourself right now - if a bubble bath takes the stress away, take lots of them! Chocolate? Eat a bunch! Cuddling on the couch with your dear hubby - cuddle, cuddle, cuddle!!! Sometimes I just buy People magazine and pour over the beautiful dresses and then read a few of the somewhat sad stories and think, Praise God we're not rich and famous! It's a reality check for me at times. Listen to tons of praise music, and sing along loudly - I like to stand in the warmth of the sun shining in our kitchen window (if it's shining) and sing at the top of my lungs (my sons appreciate this so much

)! Whatever simple things bring you joy, please make time for them over this difficult time! I've listed things that come to mind for me, but whatever brings you joy, be sure to do it right now. You deserve that!
In Christ,
Julie

Kerby,
I'm so glad that you shared your prayer request. There is so much power in prayer and a warmth of being surrounded with the prayers of many going up for you by name!
I'm praying for you tonight and will continue to uplift you in prayer in the coming weeks. The Lord knows your needs because the Holy Spirit is already interceding on your behalf, even if you aren't sure what to ask for!
Surrounding in prayer,
Carrie

Kerby,
I'll be remembering you in prayer, too.
2 Corinthians is one of my favorite books in the Bible, some verses come to mind in praying for you. I trust that the God of all comfort will show you His all-sufficient grace through your weakness. (2 Cor 1:3, 12:9)

Hi
I'm having a tough day. I have a headache that just won't quit! I am not looking forward to tomorrow, either, because w/ the first reduced dosage, the second day after was tough. I am home alone w/ the 3 youngest dc this weekend, too. (Dh is camping this weekend w/ ds for Boy Scouts - through the winter warning!)
I want to go to church tomorrow for 2 reasons. One, the obvious reason - I want to be there to worship and be fed. But the other one is for a more selfish reason - it's pot luck Sunday and the dc can socialize, too. Little less stress for me because they can play and I don't have to worry about a meal (which would also help financially this week, too).
I hate "whining" but want you to be able to pray for what I truly need. I have 3 more doses of this one, 4 of the next step, and then none. So...
Thank you sooo much!

Oh Kirby....those sound like perfectly reasonable and understandable reasons to me. Is there something you could take to help your headache and help you sleep? I'm thinking of Advil PM maybe? You'd feel better with a good night's sleep, although I know I don't sleep well when dh is gone either.
In my prayers!

Thanks, Mel.
I did take some Advil this afternoon and then a good nap. I don't have a problem sleeping w/ dh gone. I actually sleep better.
Thankfully, the dc were pretty mellow after swimming all morning and were willing to watch the movies we rented. Dd wrote on her shirt but oh well. Overall, they did well.

Anybody have any tips for getting marker off a yellow shirt?

Kerby,
I'll continue to pray, too.
Shout and Oxiblast spray-on work pretty well on stains...but honestly, I've pretty much given up on stains and then we have a bigger choice for clothes to play in the mud in...

...since that seems to be a favorite passtime of my dc. Mud, sand piles, picking mulberries, feeding calves, on the farm the opportunites are endless...why even bother with stains?
(I usually try to keep 1 or 2 things clean and the rest are fair game.)

Praying for you, Kerby! It helps to know what to pray for - thanks for letting us know. I pray that Sunday may be a time or renewal for you! You can do this, I know you can - I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.
In Christ's Love,
Julie
