My oldest two children are happily doing Beyond this year...and now my 3 year old is more than ready to start her "own" school. She loves doing school with the oldest but is no longer satisfied to get the "leftovers". My problem is that we've just gotten into a good routine with Beyond and I don't know the best way to work in Little hands without disrupting our schedule. All of us do better in the morning with free time/nap time in the afternoon. I know that little hands doesn't take long and we can split it up during the day. I want to have a workable schedule so that I know I won't be tempted to skip little hands if it isn't "conveinent", if you know what I mean? Also, we live in a very small townhouse, so if I am doing school with the youngest in one room the other kids will still be distracted by this no matter where they are. They both love interacting with their 3 year old sister and teaching her--especially my 7 year old dd so I was thinking that we could all do little hands together? I really don't know so any advice or experience you could share would be very welcome!

I did Little Hands with my youngest 2 at the beginning of the year. My 4yr. old needed more and my 3 yr. old couldn't stay still for 30 seconds so we put it on the shelf and are doing other things with them...however, when we did do LHTH, my 7 year old did it with us and she had alot of fun. She even did the crafts. I would advise doing it together first thing in the morning. The little one's "cup will be full" and the older ones will have some fun. It really doesn't take long at all each day.

We did Beyond and LHTH at the same time years ago, and even with me being pregnant and on bedrest off and on, we managed to still have a good year! Beyond took us around 2 1/2 hours to do, and LHTH took about 20-30 minutes. Doing LHTH was the perfect fix for my little one wanting my attention. We are currently doing CTC, Beyond, and LHTH, and finding the same thing. Very doable, and a wonderful no stress way to get mommy time in with my toddler who is just shy of 3 yo. We are doing it half-speed and will take 2 years to go through LHTH, but I could easily do it all in a day with my little one if I wanted. I want to take my time, since my little guy is on the young side for LHTH. Have fun with LHTH - it's an awesome way to introduce little ones to homeschooling - makes them love school right from the start!

Little Hands to Heaven is an easy one to squeeze in, doing part or all of the plans as time allows. I've found that I can get to my little guy's Little Hands twice weekly right now and do a whole day within a day (taking around 30 min. or less). We're also doing CTC, Beyond, and piloting our new RTR this year too, which makes it a bit harder to get to LHTH more than twice weekly right now. Since my little guy is 3 that works fine for us. Next year, I'll ramp it up to 4 days a week to finish.

When my other little guys were 3, we did it 3 times weekly. You can easily have your older kiddos be the helpers, however just make sure that they know that the little one should do the answering of the questions and the activities first.
