Need a subsitute to make soap in LHTH Unit 16

The plans call for powdered laundry detergent and to add water to make soap. I only have the condensed liquid kind. Is there a subsitute? I tried searching the board and didn't find anything. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I wonder if powdered dishwasher soap would work? Do you have any of that? :D

Nope, we don't. Apparently we only buy liquid soaps at our house. LOL...
