I couldn't wait till Picture day to show you a picture from today :D We are loving HOD so much.

Doing our Science Experiment from "Bigger". Jacob had already done all of his HOD (Little Hands) but couldn't stand not being a part of Seth's school too!

My friend Christa (granolamom6) and I were talking today about not only the AMAZING curriculum, but the ladies on this board.

Boys and water - nothing goes better together than that! They look like they are having so much fun. My youngest son just helped my oldest son with his Bigger... activity of sinking the Philadelphia in our bathtub today. They got to fire on it with pennies, and throw tin foil balls at the "catch". Your boys will soon be doing that one too - what fun!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
:o

Julie

Mel,

You bless my heart! I LOVE to blog and to know that you enjoy it blesses my heart more than you can know. :D

One of my favorite reasons for blogging was that when I started almost 3 years ago, I had lots of little ones and felt busy all the time, but if someone said, "what do you do"? I couldn't summarize it. When I started blogging it helped me to "see" productiveness. Left on my own I just see what I "didn't" do. Does that make sense? :? :?: :D

Mary your days all look so fun! Your boys are so cute! We did school from the couch today because I just can't seem to shake this bug. But even that was fun really. I mean what a blessing that you can really still do school even if it is from the couch. OK minor confession a lot of our school is from the couch. I love the snuggle time. But today school had to be from the couch if you know what I mean.

Love your pictures! Keeps on making me remember we need to take more of school time! Thanks for sharing! 8)

Mary,

I too love visiting your blog, it has become part of my day now! :D

I agree the curriculum is awesome, as well as all of the ladies on the board. It's so much fun having HOD be the common thread and then getting to reveal more and more similarities between all of us. Everyone is so friendly and supportive! We are blessed!

Hi Mary! It's in Unit 21, so that's on the way for you! I totally agree with what you are saying about taking pictures and blogging to explain your school days better. That is such an easier way to show others what your day is like. I think I'd love to be part of your family and homeschool day - it just looks like a wonderful place to be!

MamaMary,

May I just say how much your cheerful spirit is a balm to my soul today. :D We have had a very difficult few days with a misuse of one of our guides that we pray is resolved. You cannot imagine how grateful I am to come to this board and be uplifted and surrounded by positive conversation and Godly women.

Each of you has a very special place in my heart and in the heart of my husband, and we thank God for you every day, but especially today.

Water2wine, we pray that you may feel better soon! It sounds like your sickness has been lingering.

Blessings,
Carrie

Oh Carrie,

I am so sorry that you have had to deal with such an uncomfortable and unpleasant situation. I pray that as you sleep tonight, that the Lord would minister HIS perfect peace to your heart!

You are LOVED by so many! :smooch:

Mary,

Thanks for the smooch! You must have known that my husband and I slept very little last night over this! The Lord's hand on us and a good night's slept is just what we need.

Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks you guys for the get well prayer. I really appreciate it! I am feeling a little better and hoping by tomorrow I will be back to normal, after I sleep in that is.

Carrie- You are stepping into territory where the enemy is certainly going to fight you. When you are not only helping kids to know The Lord and see Him as real in their lives but also relieving this syndrome I am seeing among hsing moms of warn out, stressed, and feeling like they are not up for the task, you are going to have some fighting against what you do from the enemy. You are having a huge impact in many people's lives and giving them the strength and direction to accomplish what the Lord has called them to in teaching their own children in a godly way.
So many prayers to you and your family (and actually especially my oldest daughter does pray for your writing because she wants to keep using HOD, seriously she does). And we will pray for resolution, protection and renewed strength and joy for your family. I know God will honor that! And I know He will bless you for your good works!

I totally agree with water2wine's post and will be joining in this prayer for Carrie, her family and her writing endeavors.
You have blessed me with LHFHG and am amazed every day that you have been able to put this program together with 4 boys and a husband at home!
Daily prayers will be raised at our home for you.

Ladies,

You can't imagine how much it means to be blanketed in prayer. I could not ask for anything better! :D Already the load is lighter and the path straighter.

Carrie
