Hi, Christine! I am currently using Bigger... Geography is covered weekly and it ties in so amazingly well with the history that we are discussing each week. We love it because it is usually so hands on. Let's see... some examples: some days we are looking at the globe/maps, biting graham crackers into shapes of continents, retracing steps/voyages of explorers, making maps, chalking compass directions, making up movements to remember the different climate zones... :D! This week we were talking about Alegheny mountains in our reading about George Washington and so we made mountains, hills, and valleys with shaving cream. HTH!

Thanks for sharing Candice and Dawn!

This sounds fun, and what I am really craving right now is one subject flowing (in a natural way) into the next subject. I really want as many subjects tied together, in a non-forced way. (LOL. Does that make sense?)

The last half of this thread also addresses a guide focused mainly on geography (and history through map-making) that we are strongly considering writing after the last listed guide in our current scope and sequence. So this may be of interest to you as well. Link: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4769
