I was really determined to find what works best for us this year! Boy, have I spent waaaay too much time and money. DS has steadily worked hard while I was soooo uncertain. It has come down to using Bigger. I believe this will streamline everything and make things more doable for all of us.
The only thing that was keeping us in Beyond (even though so good!) was the history. I looked through and I think we can just adjust as needed. We can slow down to half speed if need be.

So, after a break with some other material, I'm glad to be here again. This needs to be written in "stone" because changing around too much is not a good thing for us! We started today at half speed and it's been great so far.

One big lesson that I have learned this year is that it is not necessary or beneficial to change up our entire school plan when when minor adjustments are all that is necessary to tailor things for our specific needs.

I really think the guides are what we need. I want something using literature, but very "doable." I keep coming back to HOD guides, so this has to be it. I just wish that we could have worked this out earlier this year. I have been going back and forth with things since last spring.

I went to the doctor today and I've got a lot of weight to lose. So, if I get my school together, maybe I'll have time to exercise. I'm hoping that "Bigger" will help me get my school back in order and I can get my health in better shape. Maybe, school will be one less thing to worry about.

Yes, sometimes our experiences help us to really see that what we had initially was best.
I think HOD is spot on for making school time short and very sweet. That way you can focus on other things in your life, not having school time take up too much of the day. It doesn't have to be that way!

I wish you the very best in finding a good balance with your schooling and finding time to take care of yourself!
I know sometimes focusing so much on school can aid in keeping me from taking care of other areas in my life.
