Re: /doing three programs?
As of right now I am not, but I do know that at some point in my future I likely will be doing 3 guides. I know there ARE people out there doing 3 at once, and it does work!
Actually, from what I have heard, it is sometimes easier to place all of your children correctly into separate programs, then to try and combine them, but then try and tweak things to make it work well for everyone. Also, the upper guides are designed to be more independent, so that helps too. I'm sure others out there who ARE doing 3 guides will chime in here at some point too.

I am doing LHTH, Bigger, and CTC. However I also have two in high school doing another program. I do find it difficult sometimes, but I do not think I would if I didn't have the high schoolers also. How far apart are your children? Have you done HOD before? Two programs are definately easier than three if your children are close enough. It also depends if one is LHTH. That one takes signigicantly less time. It might help if we had a little more information about your specific situation.

Re: /doing three programs?
I think there are actually a fair amount of us doing three programs. We did Bigger and LHFHG last year and this year we are doing Beyond, Preparing and CTC. In that mix I have a child with special needs adn learning delays. I found last year with two programs very easy to handle. I was worried three would put us over the edge and ruin the peace we had last year. I have not found that to be the case at all.
In fact three is a little more than two it is true but it does not feel like a whole program more at all. For us it has been prefect. We have had a lot of life delays and stuff come up this year but still have had an easy time with doing three. In fact I have even had my dh teach a few days and he also thought it was very manageable. I would say if kids are two years in age span apart combining made sense for us. Larger than that separating seems to make things much easier. Doing three programs is more work but I find not as much work as trying to make a one size fits all program work for all my kids. That was much work to make work for us than running three HOD programs just to give you some perspective. Two programs were actually possible with our family as I feel I really could make Preparing work for my oldest and continue to just beef up. But meeting her just at her level and teaching her more independence really has been the best thing for her. We've actually both enjoyed it. We intend to stay at 3 programs of HOD until all the guides are through being written. It is working very well. So if three is the best direction for your family it is definitely very doable. HTH

Re: /doing three programs?
I have a 9yo fourth grader doing Preparing, an 8yo second grader doing Beyond, a 6yo kindergartener doing Little Hearts, and then I still have a 3yo (almost 4), 1yo (almost 2), and a 5mo.
I don't think about it more than necessary, but I'm sure I'll be doing more than three guides at some point. I should do LHTH with my 3yo, and probably will (re)start it with her soon... maybe after the holidays.

Re: /doing three programs?
Next year I may be doing three next year. My five year old daughter will do Little Hearts For His Glory, my son will be using Beyond Littel Hearts For His Glory and it looks like I will be doing CTC with my ten year old.
Right now I am using LIttle Hearts For His Glory with my son, now five and Preparing with my nine year old. I tried combining four and five year old but it don't work. So everyone will be doing their own thing, thankfully my oldest will be even more independent in her studies next year.
