Our First week of Beyond...

Hello everyone. I said I would tell about our first week so here I am. The first two days were kinda different :) I think my dd was waiting for me to spring with all the work we were doing before. The last couple days she has seemed to relax and believe we are trying something new..lol
All my kiddos are enjoying our days now. It's such a relief and good feeling to not be loaded down with alot of stuff everyday. Beyond gives us just enough - not to much and not to little. She even asked me today if we could keep reading our book about Helen Keller! My heart had such a BIG smile on it...needless to say! She isn't to fond of the Language Arts part, but I just keep praying God will put a love of learning in that area too :) To be honest I didn't like it much when I was in school either
Ok enough babbling for me today.
Thanks Carrie again...so far this has been like nothing else for us! They don't take off running on me in the mornings!

Glad to hear that you and your dd are enjoying Beyond! It only gets better, we are on Unit 14 and my dd looks forward to school; we have lots of fun! As for not liking LA, oh well, most children aren't going to like every subject. Best wishes.

Glad you are loving Beyond. :D We are really enjoying it as well. Stick with the LA part. I am seeing wonderful things in my girls from it. Wish I had used it with all my kids. We would have done so much better. Hope she learns to love that as well. LA is tough stuff for lots of kids. I have to say it was not my favorite as a kid either. My kids for the most part like it but they are getting a whole different kind of school than I did. :D

Kelly,

I had to smile when I read your post about your daughter waiting for you to spring the rest of her school on her! My poor oldest son was a product of that in his younger years too. I'm thrilled to hear that you are settling into Beyond and that some joy is returning to your school day. We all need that! :D

Thanks so much for sharing about Helen Keller. It does my mommy heart good to hear that too. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
