Help I must have an older copy of CHOW!

Tomorrow in Preparing I am supposed to be reading out of this book. I just noticed tonight that my pages do not line up with what is supposed to be the 4th chapter. I have the 1997 ed. For Unit 4, Day 3, what is the title of the chapter I am supposed to be reading with my kiddos tomorrow? Do the chapter numbers in the manual line up with the chapters in my edition of CHOW? I know that the pages do not line up. Thanks!

I had the same problem. All 1997 editions are not the same even though they appear to be the same from looking at the cover and checking the publishing date. Unfortunately there is no ISBN to check out. The edition used by HOD in PHFHG is 7" x 9.5" and the one I had that does not work with the guide is 5.5" x 8.25" but they both look the same from pictures. You really wouldn't know the difference until you saw both together, or someone told you. Another friend, who is a couple weeks ahead of me in PHFHG, had the same problem and gave me a heads up. My friend and I both went ahead and ordered the HOD version. You could still use the other version. The problem is you need both to figure out what pages you are supposed to be doing. Maybe someone out there has gone through and made a list of the page differences that could share that info.

Do you know the title of the chapter for those pages? Thanks!

In my non-HOD CHOW chapter 4 is 22-26 and in my HOD CHOW the pages for chapter 4 are 16-19, just as listed in the teacher's guide. The reading is the same in both books, just different pages. Does that help any?

Thanks! Yes, that does make sense. Maybe I will just have to go by chapter numbers instead of page numbers.
