Its all about Him!

I just want to share how the Lord is using HOD Preparing Hearts to change ME!
I am finding that I am being challenged to be like Moses, Joshua, Gideon, etc.
I have so often felt that I am unable to do so many things. Be a good mom, wife, homeschool teacher, friend...
I am so inadequate to do the things that I am being asked to do. I do not have the ability. I have often wanted to give up, on it all.
I am finding that when we are lacking we can surrender to the Lord. He will then do in and through us what we are unable to do in our natural state. He becomes my enabler! I am so encouraged to see that He wins the battle for me..I do not fight it myself. Only God can do what needs to be done in my life. He desires to use me, with all my messed up stuff, so that we know its not "me" doing it, it is His work.
It is no coincidence that we are using this curriculum. God has chosen it for this exact time in our lives. He is setting our family apart to do what man says is impossible, to show his goodness and how great HE is. Its all for Him!
Carrie is truly anointed as she writes her manuals. She may never know all that the Lord has done and is going to do through her.

It is all about HIM! And it is great when we can get to that place to not just know it but really feel it and live it. I am so happy to see how God is blessing you!
I really believe God uses a lot of what is in HOD not just to minister to the children but also to minister to the moms and the family as a unit. We see the task of educating them but He sees the task of making us more Christ like.
So what a wonderful reminder, it is all about Him!

It is all about HIM! I too am changing and growing through this opportunity to hs with the HOD curriculum.I am so much more dependent on HIM for each day! I ask HIM to enable me, teach me, help me to be patient and a good example for my dd. I am confident that HE desires to do a work in me just as much as HE does in my dd. I am thankful that he is always in the process of growing us!

I am finding this curriculum is teaching me, also. Before HOD I was not committed to memorizing scripture, but now I am and I don't have to have the scripture in front of me to know if my dd got it right or not. Several times the scripture that I've been hiding in my heart has bubbled up just when either I or someone else has needed it. It is all about HIM!!!

I totally agree -
It is all about Him, and HOD reminds me of that daily!
My dc and I have an easy flow of conversation about God, and I know it's because of our talks during HOD Bible times. Every day I too am humbled as I feel like I've fallen short in some areas of life, but you are right - God can use that too. He can use us in our broken state - we don't have to wait to have it all together to be of use to Him. Thanks for sharing this, and may God continue to use you and bless you!
In Christ,
Julie

There is no greater compliment that could be given to our curriculum than to say that it helps families focus on the fact that IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM! I fully agree that in stepping out of my comfort zone, I have had to depend on the Lord more and more. Yet that is where the greatest blessings come, because we know He is walking with us and enabling us to do that which we could not do on our own.
Thank you so much for sharing from your heart. I know the Lord is glorified by this thread today!
Blessings,
Carrie

And in reality what more would you want or need than something that continually focuses and draws their heat to Him. We were at the hospital today doing our HOD, reading our Bible and discussing it as if we were in our living room. This man came up to me obviously a Christian and said "you have quite an unusual family". I am thinking he is trying to say are those your kids or did you adopt them because we are mixed racially. So I just said "yes we do". He said what is that you are doing there. I told him we homeschool and use this Christian curriculum called Heart if Dakota. He said "well it's working! Those are not normal kids that will sit there and listen to the Bible like that." But they are normal HOD kids. I can't tell you what a blessing it is to have something that is all about Him. It's huge and I know God has great blessings for all of those that work to provide it so other families can be blessed!
