ds got me on this one

Post by momof4 » Thu Feb 21, 2008 9:59 am

So we have been doing Reading Made Easy and have made our way to the lesson where A can have 2 sounds. If it's grey it's A as in Adam and if it's black it's A as in same.

Well, I'm doodling on the magna doodle(not doing school, just goofing around) and decide to start writing words and see if he can read them. We get to SAM and he pronounces it "same" and I say it's the A as in Adam and he says "No Mom it's black. It's same". After explaining I can't do 2 colors on the magna doodle, he agreed with me.

I guess he got it better than I thought the other day!

Just thought I'd share.

Laurie,

That is too cute! I'm telling ya, you have to watch out for those 4 year olds, they are smart little cookies!

He's very observant. I'm glad he didn't try sticking to his guns about the color and sound thing.
